About Salisbury Vintage Rifle and Pistol Club
The club was formed in the early 1970’s to allow collectors of Antique Firearms the opportunity to shoot them. The club is Home Office approved for Muzzle Loading Pistol, Small and Full Bore Rifles and is affiliated to the N.R.A. The membership covers an area from Bristol to Southampton and the Salisbury area.
Over the years the club has expanded the types of firearms used and we now include everything from air pistol/rifle through to gallery rifles as well as those aforementioned. They hold regular competitions to include all the classes of weapons that they are permitted to shoot under their license.
Our Brief
This is one of our earler sites that we built back in 2008. It looked a lot different then to what it does now. Derek Kilner the owner of Build The Website joined SVRPC in 2008 at a time when membership was flagging. Having built websites before he suggested to the members that it would make sense to have an internet presence for two main reasons. Firstly members would be able to go to the site and check out range dates and any other club information that they required. Secondly we would be able to advertise membership availability. It wasn't long after going live that the club had a number of membership enquiries and now thanks to the website the membership numbers have been exactly what the club wanted.
